01 / The Challenge

A beautiful product. Almost no organic discovery.

The client sells heirloom Peruvian ceremonial cacao with a serious sourcing story: Chuncho-variety beans, heavy-metal tested, single-origin. The product was already premium. The growth engine was not.

The Shopify store converted browsers but rarely produced them. The blog held a handful of posts. Klaviyo was installed but the flows weren’t earning their keep. Subscription orders plateaued at a modest base.

Three things were quietly true at kick-off: search visibility was negligible, the post-purchase journey ended at the order confirmation, and there was no editorial voice tying the brand’s ceremony to the search terms its audience actually typed.

The product was already extraordinary. The audience just hadn’t been given a doorway in.
